Getting started

Three steps, one phone call.

No referral maze, no waiting room. If we can’t provide the care you need, we’ll help you find who can.

  1. 01

    Call or request care

Talk with our office about what you or your patient needs. Providers can fax orders directly.

  2. 02

    We plan it with you

We gather the relevant medical information, coordinate with your physician and tell you the cost up front.

  3. 03

    A nurse comes to you

An experienced RN arrives at your home or facility and shares notes with everyone who needs them.

Getting lost in the system?

The same skilled nurses, a better route.

Waiting rooms, transport, surprise bills, and nobody talking to each other. Our nurses spent decades on hospital vascular access teams. Now they bring that expertise straight to the patient.

Our story

Founded by the nurse who wouldn’t take no.

AIMS grew out of five decades of vascular access work and a habit of proving the skeptics wrong. That pioneering streak is still how we work.

An AIMS nurse performing the company’s first in-home PICC placement

THE FIRST AIMS IN-HOME PICC PLACEMENT

  1. 1969

    A nurse begins

Founding member Glenda Dennis graduates nursing school and builds a career on taking initiative where patients need it.

  2. 1990s

The PICC that “no one would use”

Surgeons told her no one would use a nurse-placed PICC. She became the first nurse at McKenzie-Willamette to place them, then started its Vascular Access Team.

  3. 2008

ECG guidance, first in the U.S.

Glenda and her friend Elizabeth Ames are the first RNs in the country to confirm PICC tip position with ECG guidance, eliminating the chest X-ray. Published in JAVA, 2010.

  4. 2019

    AIMS is founded

Glenda, Tammy Inglis-Drew and Robyn Smith take that expertise out of the hospital and into patients’ homes. The name honors Elizabeth Ames.

Transparent by design

Out of pocket, out in the open.

AIMS is a self-pay practice. You’ll know what you’re going to pay, and when, before your nurse ever arrives. No surprise bills, ever.

Most insurers, including Medicare, won’t contract with nurse-owned practices, even though they cover the same nurses doing the same procedure in a hospital. We’re working to change that.

Cost before care

A clear estimate for every visit, explained in plain language.

Payment arrangements

Stress-free plans that let you pay over time, on a budget that works.

Pay online, securely

Pay any invoice by card through Stripe. We never see or store your card.

Everyone in the loop

Notes shared with you, your family and your physician.
